Dr Cheng Zhang from CBNS CI Professor Andrew Whittaker‘s group was awarded an NHMRC Early Career Fellowship for his project “Translatable Polymeric Nanomedicines towards Clinical Use” (worth $417,192).
His project aims to develop an effective synthetic method with excellent reproducibility to produce translatable and precisely-defined polymeric nanomedicines and to investigate the factors affecting their therapeutic efficacy. The fundamental understanding arising from these studies is expected to contribute significantly to the successful translation of precisely-defined polymeric nanomedicines as enhanced cancer therapeutics. During the four years of the fellowship, Cheng will spend two years at the University of California Santa Barbara with CBNS PI Professor Craig Hawker and another two years at the University of Queensland with CBNS CI Professor Andrew Whittaker.
Congratulations, Cheng to such a terrific success!
