CBNS outreach activities make up a vital part of the CBNS’ goals to communicate the importance of the scientific research taking place and to assist the public in understanding the type of research being undertaken.
Outreach activities take the form of public events, demonstrations of technology and research and interaction with the media and public through multiple forums and channels. Information on our current events and activities can be found under Upcoming Events or via our Twitter feed. We also keep an archive of past events and activities.
The Outreach program is run by a sub-committee of the CBNS Education Committee. The Outreach Sub-Committee is chaired by CBNS Chief Investigator Professor Matthew Kearnes (UNSW). It is formed of members from across all nodes with each node being represented by a postdoctorate researcher and PhD student.
The committee meets monthly to discuss and plan the outreach needs of the Centre. If you would like to contribute please contact Professor Matthew Kearnes, Senior Coordinator Events and Communications Samantha Snowden-Finch or one of the committee members.
