Enhancing the spirit of collaboration – CBNS CI Professor Ben Boyd’s visit to new facilities at UniSA’s Cancer Research Institute

CBNS CI Professor Ben Boyd and his PhD students Cindy Xiao and Kelly May visited the CBNS SA node’s new facilities at the University of South Australia’s Cancer Research Institute on Friday, 9th March.

A joint workshop was held on “Nanostructure and Drug Delivery” with more than 20 researchers and PhD/Honours students from CBNS CIs Professor Clive Prestidge and Professor Benjamin Thierry‘s groups presenting 1-slide pitches and short research highlight talks – the foci were nanomaterials and nanostructure during oral drug delivery and nanomaterials to overcome the bacterial biofilm challenge.  Professor Prestidge commented that: “Our students were truly inspired by Ben’s plenary address and a number of new collaborations have resulted from the workshop”.
