Science by Design is back for 2019!

2018 winning entry by Dr Aleksandr Kakinen

Thanks to the success of the 2 Adobe Illustrator workshops held this year, the CBNS Education and Training Committee is proud to announce the Science by Design competition for 2019.

Regardless of your workshop attendance, you are invited to showcase your scientific drawing skills with the 2019 Science by Design Competition. All CBNS CIs, Postdocs, Students and Staff are encouraged to enter for the chance to win fabulous prizes.

How do I enter?
Make a diagram or image describing your research (or an aspect of it) that is effective in communicating that idea to a wide audience (scientific and general public). The design must be a vector graphic using either Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator.  Please submit the full Adobe Illustrator file (*.ai) or scalable vector graphics file (*.svg – ensure that ‘Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities’ is turned on when saving as an SVG file) of your creation to Mrs Cassie Statkevitch by the end of the day on Sunday 20 October 2019.

By entering the CBNS Science by Design Competition, you consent to CBNS using your design on the CBNS website, for judging purposes, for the promotion of the competition and also for future use in promotional material of the CBNS. The CBNS, however, does not own the right to the image itself and you are encouraged to use it for publications, academic materials, and public promotion of your work.
