National Science Week 2018 is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology. Running each year in August, it features more than 1000 events around Australia, including those delivered by universities, schools, research institutions, libraries, museums and science centres. These events attract a wide audience from children to adults and science amateurs to professionals. Over one million people participate in science events across the nation. CBNS has four nodes contributing this year which is exciting.

This National Science Week event features a range of hands-on activities and live-science performances at Brisbane’s Southbank Piazza. This 1-day Science Street Festival is a National Science Week Event supported by the Australian Government’s Inspiring Australia Initiative.
When: Saturday, 11th August 2018. 9 am to 4:30 pm.
Where: Suncorp Piazza, South Brisbane
Cost: This is a free event, however, registration is essential.
