The Education & Training Committee offers a unique training on 2 April 2019: Storytelling for Leaders.

What is it?
This training is designed for EMCRs and late-stage PhD students to learn how to influence, engage and inspire with stories. This is a six-month training program comprising a one-day workshop and an on-going practice program. This training will improve your communication and presentation skills with examples from your work. It will teach you how you can tap into the natural power of storytelling in a very pragmatic and authentic way.

The one-day workshop is highly interactive to foster learning. Throughout the workshops, participants will engage in hands-on activities designed to build their skills and knowledge.

The six-month Deliberate Practice Program is designed to help participants practice their new skills in the workplace. It is delivered online and there will be one practical activity each week, over a period of six months. Each weekly ‘micro-tasks’ takes between 8 and 15 minutes to complete.
