Biography

Dr Tan is a postdoctoral Research Fellow with the CBNS, and Drug Delivery Disposition and Dynamics. She conducts her research with Professor Ben Boyd’s group.

Originally from Kuala Lumpur​, Malaysia, Dr Tan recently (2014-2016) undertook an International Postdoctoral Fellowship at The University of Tokyo, which was funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. Prior to this she worked (2011-2014) as a Research Associate at the University of South Australia.

Dr Tan’s major research interest is to integrate smart colloidal materials, microengineered 3D human tissue models, and advanced imaging technologies into a unique research platform to develop site-targeted and localised drug therapy.
