Ibrahim Javed is a PhD student at CBNS, Monash University, Australia, working with Pu Chun Ke and Thomas Davis. He obtained his PharmD from the University of Sargodha and MPhil (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Pakistan. His research is focused on designing nanostructured materials and their interfacing with proteins and other classes of biomacromolecules for pharmaceutical and toxicological applications.
Originally from Faisalabad in Pakistan, before joining the CBNS, Ibrahim worked as a Research Assistant in the Functional Nanomaterials Research Group at the Department of Chemistry, School of Science and Engineering, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, Pakistan.
His main areas of research interest are synthesis of nanomaterials and their interfacing with biological components like proteins, amyloids and other biomacromolecules for pharmaceutical and diagnostic applications.
