Anti-biofouling polymer-based magnetic nanocomposites for targeting immune system related biomarkers to improve precision medicine

Project Summary

Immune system are critical to host defence and tissue remodelling and plays an important role in disease progression. This project sits within a pathway to develop and validate new technologies in targeting immune system responsive biomarkers which can act as a diagnostic and prognostic marker for a variety of morbidities (e.g. cardiovascular disease). The aim of this project is to develop nanoparticle-based nanoprobes for selectively targeting by advancing the surface modification and bioconjugation strategies using anti-biofouling polymers.
